Bangkok (pt I)

My favorite activity in BKK was riding a long-tail boat along the Chao Phraya River and the canals it feeds. These canals are known as "Venice of the East." It was a unique way to see the commercial buildings and temples along the river banks and the everyday life of those who live along the canals. A long-tail boat is a sight to behold in itself with ornate paintings on the sides, colorful canopies on top, and flowers hanging from the front. Although steep in price, it was worth every Baht.

The famed Wat Arun, "Temple of Dawn"

Venice or Bangkok?

I spy some monks along the canal.
