Chiang Mai (pt III)

I went jungle trekking through the mountains of Northern Thailand by elephant, foot, and boat all in one day! Exhausting, but I had a fabulous time. The mountains are uniquely gorgeous because they are more like big rolling hills with mountainous jungle vegetation. I love Northern Thailand.

I have seen much slash-and-burn in the mountains, and it breaks my heart. I see the actual flames of the fires on almost a daily basis. Although there are government campaigns to stop it, it is still rampant.

Elephants! I can't get enough.

This guy sniffed me after I got on his back.

  1. How fun!! When I was recently in Chiang Mai we did some of the same things! The elephants were the highlight of my time there...I thought they were adorable. And we went to that same orchid place too, I think!
