Quarterlife Crisis

This year, I encountered what I think was my quarter-life crisis. Crisis has such a negative connotation, but mine was awesome! Sure, there was questioning and life changes (still is), but I feel excited and full of potential moving into 2012.

It all started with this:

"Fake" graduation with my Murderhaus roommates
May 2011

I had a tough summer. To cope, I did this:

Cozumel, Mexico
July 2011

A week later, I did this:

(Side note: I told my mom AFTER the fact that I skydived. The first thing she said was, "Insurance would not have covered you had you been injured." Haha, typical. I need people like this in my life!)

Then, I did this:

NOLA
August 2011

And this:

Eldfell Volcano (it's active, y'all), Iceland
August 2011

Finally, I moved to New York City for the fall. Graduation brought me back to Texas, and we'll see where the wind blows me from here.

All things considered, I think I handled my quarter-life crisis pretty well. Who knows, I might still be in the thick of it? I marked several things off my bucket list and had fun doing it. As always, I hope to live with reckless abandonment for the rest of my life!

Many cultures believe that what you do on New Year's Eve/Day sets the tone for how things will turn out for the rest of the year. This year, I will be celebrating the new year in Ecuador with some dear friends. I'm thrilled to see what's in store for 2012!
